Phumlani's vocational rehabilitation or work related practice was established in 2003.    Our main focus is the end-stage rehabilitation of people after illness or injury to ensure that they are fit to resume the essential requirements of their activities of daily living, leisure time activities and work done by the occupational therapists.  Patients are treated post general surgical procedures, as well as back and neck surgery.

In May 2018, we opened our Orthopaedic and Arthroplasty Clinic at Phumlani.   This Clinic operates in association with Dr. P.J. Botha (orthopaedic surgeon).  This provides a one-stop-shop for patients who have transport and language difficulties, where these patients can consult the surgeon and all the allied team members, including assistance with FCE's and Work-related problems.  At this clinic, we are able to assist in the following languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, German, Nederlands.
